ECT stands for Edge Crush Test, a standardized measurement of a corrugated box's stacking strength. It tests how much pressure the edges of the corrugated material can withstand before crushing. Higher ECT numbers indicate stronger boxes, with common ratings including ECT-32 for standard-duty use and ECT-44 for heavier double-wall applications.

32 ECT corrugated boxes are available in 11 standard sizes ranging from 4x4x4 inches up to 28x22x14 inches, plus specialty long and narrow variants in 10x5x5, 20x5x5, and 36x6x6 inches. This range covers small parcels, apparel, electronics, and even long items like art prints or rods.

ECT-32 boxes are single-wall construction made from 200# test kraft, suited for light to medium-duty shipping. ECT-44 boxes use double-wall construction with 275# test kraft, providing greater stacking strength for heavier loads such as machinery parts or bulk moving applications. ECT-44 is typically reserved for larger or heavier box sizes.
